A West Ham United supporter has highlighted the intense pressure on the squad despite their strong league position. Season ticket holder Gus Beagles said the Championship environment and passionate fanbase create a demanding atmosphere for the players.
West Ham currently sit second in the Championship with 15 points from eight games, just two points behind leaders Swansea. Their recent form shows three wins, one draw, and one defeat from their last five matches, a run that includes a 2-2 draw at Millwall last week.
He pointed to the unique pressures of the division and the home crowd at London Stadium. "Us as a fan base, we are a brilliant fan base and extremely passionate as you see with our following across the country, but there's a lot of pressure to play for West Ham and especially at this level in the Championship," Beagles added.
The team's next chance to handle that pressure comes at home against Queens Park Rangers on 9 October.
