Hammers Get Set for the Gers

West Ham United is gearing up for its third pre-season assignment, a showdown against Scottish giants Rangers, which is now just over 24 hours away. The Hammers have been back in training since Monday 6 July, and after a 1-1 away draw with Southend United last Saturday and an emphatic 5-0 triumph on the road at Stevenage on Wednesday night, we are now getting ready to take the next step in our 2026/27 preparations north of the border.

With kick-off drawing ever closer, boss Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff have been busy putting the players through their paces on the grass, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is back at Rush Green following his 2026 FIFA World Cup exploits with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As we head into this new season, West Ham United finds itself 18th in the Premier League, with 39 points from 38 games, a recent form of WLLLW. The Hammers are 46 points behind leaders Arsenal in the title race.
